On March 18, 2024, the Ford School of Public Policy, in collaboration with AFSC Michigan, hosted a policy briefing on the Second Look legislation. A panel of experts, including AFSC alum Ron Simpson-Bey of Just Leadership USA, voiced their backing for the proposed legislation.

Current AFSC staff, who maintain strong ties with individuals incarcerated, also contributed their insights on the matter.
